Essay of power of knowledge and power of mind
zvonat [6]

Answer:

Knowledge is power

Knowledge is Power, but knowledge does not always come with power. Knowledge is "the state of awareness or understanding gained from experience or study...learning specific information about something. This means a person has the resourcefulness to obtain and criticize useful and informative information in order to become well informed citizens who can make intelligent decisions based upon their understanding and awareness of everyday situations. Does this make them powerful? Is a question that creeps into ones mind? Well, power is said to be the ability or capacity to act or perform effectively. Without knowledge, how can this ability to perform effectively, be possible? Indeed, it cannot. This proves that knowledge is very much a necessity to gain Power.

Education is the key to success is one of the sayings that one hears throughout their college life. It is invariably true that every person who is knowledgeable leads a successful life. Education plays an important role in promoting a nations economic growth, as well.

When you look at America's rise to power during the past war era it is easy as well as trivial to attribute it to the abundance of natural resources and surplus number of new inventions. But, really we must consider how those inventions came about and how those natural resources were utilized to a productive end. More importantly than what made America the most powerful country in the world is why it became the most powerful country. It wasn't luck, or coincidence or the fact that they had abundant resources but because they laid a firm foundation for their people by educating them and making them valuable members of the society who could meet the demands of the competing world.

Investment in higher education is worthwhile because how much you spend on it right now definitely will make up for the amount it makes you gain later in life. It is said "When you learn more, you ear

Answer:

‘Silent Spring’ and ‘Save the Redwood’ are both beautifully worded stories that both tell the story of human effect and neglect to the environment. The two pieces come from two very different backgrounds of authors, they both capture how clueless and mindless people are when it comes to the treatment of the environment, and they both express so elegantly how nature reacts to these changes. Carson grew up in the 1920’s already seeing the horrors of human deforestation, when he said that “Everywhere was a shadow of death.(Carson 1)”, that Muir talks about during the 1840’s. When Muir says that, “...some millmen want to cut all the Calaveras trees into lumber and money.(Muir, 1)” he is referring to the greed that millmen have towards our natural environment. But when this same topic is brought to light in ‘Silent Spring’, Carson writes, “... no enemy action had silenced the rebirth of new life in this stricken world. The people had done it themselves.(Carson, 1)”. This quote shows what can happen to environments that house people who are completely oblivious to the effects they have. Muir talks about how people are blinded by greed and are careless of their effects, but Carson talks about what can happen when people ignore problems like these. Carson begins to make the reader feel guilty, if they too have been close minded to the natural world around them. Muir says it similarly when he says, “Any fool can destroy trees. They cannot defend themselves or run away(Muir, 3).” Through the two short stories ‘Silent Spring’ and ‘Save the Redwood’, the readers are able to comprehend the cause and effect that can be seen through the time differences. The reader can see how ignorance towards the environment is just as bad as disrespectful as not acknowledging it, and is also able to see the effects it holds.

How does the witches first scene in macbeth show their power?
DerKrebs [107]

Answer: At the start of Act 1, Scene 3 of Macbeth, we see the Witches preparing for their first encounter with Macbeth. The First Witch tells her companions that she has been insulted by a sailor’s wife who refused to give her some of the chestnuts that she was eating she will deprive him of sleep (‘Sleep shall neither night nor day / Hang upon his penthouse lid’ (1.3.19–20)) and ensure that his ship is tossed by the waves (‘tempest-toss’d’ (1.3.25)) and unable to find safe harbour. The passage ends with the Witches chanting a spell as they prepare to meet Macbeth, repeating a movement three times in the direction of each Witch in order to consolidate their power.

(‘“Give me!” quoth I. / “Aroint thee, witch!” the rump-fed ronyon cries’ (1.3.5–6)). The First Witch says that she will take revenge by punishing the woman’s husband, describing in detail what ‘I'll do, I'll do, and I'll do’ (1.1.10) to him:

However, they do vanish (according to the stage direction just after line 81). Being able to disappear into thin air does seem to indicate that they have some supernatural ability, if not the one they claim to possess. At the beginning of the scene, they discuss a number of things which, if they can really do them, would also indicate their supernatural natures: sailing anywhere in a sieve, torturing a man by preventing him from sleeping for a long period of time, controlling the winds, and so on.
