A total of 11 states left the U.S and became the confederacy. These are; South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
It was a movement launched at the Bombay session of All-India Congress Committee by Mahatma Gandhi on 8 August 1942, during World War ll,demanding and end to British Rule of India. Hope it helped! :D
