steposvetlana [31]
By being known as "a Cunningham" and easily recognized by their last name, the citizens of Maycomb know this family fairly well. They lived on farms in the northern part of the county. In the novel, the Cunninghams were known as a rough crowd to hang around with. They gambled, drank whiskey, and would often hang out in a few of the same places (and everyone tried to avoid those places). They were part of the wrong crowd and just bad company to be associated with.

However, the reputation of the Cunningham clan did have some positives. They weren't known to be aggressive or abusive. They were known for never taking favors that they couldn't pay back. While not used to mainstream social life and immersed in their country/farm life, Cunninghams were simple folk who were honest and understood the value of hard work. These characteristics are known to the residents of Maycomb, including Miss Caroline. When Scout introduces Walter to her, Miss Caroline can make some of these assumptions based on the history of the Cunningham family that Walter comes from.

HOW DOES RAINSFORD MIMIC ANIMALS THAT HE HAS HUNTED IN THE PAST? BE SPECIFIC.
VARVARA [1.3K]

Rainsford imitates the foxes and cats he has hunted in the past, staying in an impenetrable state of alert.

Why does he need to imitate these animals?

 • Because he is being hunted.
 • Because he needs to survive.
 • Because he needs to think like prey to escape the hunt.

Rainsford has hunted many animals and knows how they behave after observing them for a long time. He decided he needed to imitate these behaviors to survive and for that reason, he chose to imitate cats and foxes.

This is because these animals were more instinctive, observed the environment cautiously, and emphasized the use of smell and hearing to stay in a constant state of alert.

laiz [17]
There is only one sentence which needs a semicolon added to be correct, and that is 5) Water is not everywhere it's miles away.
As you can see, the way this sentence is written, something seems wrong - words are just mixed around incoherently. This is why we need a semicolon to make things more accurate: Water is not everywhere; it's miles away.
