Which student response to the excerpt is an example of a text to text connection
Nutka1998 [239]

Answer: d. This story about Angel Island reminds me of a book I read called Children of Ellis Island.

Explanation:

Text to text connections occur when a person relates something they are reading to something else they may have read or experienced that is similar to the piece they are reading.

<em>''Children of Ellis Island'' </em> is a book about the experiences of children who immigrated into the United States so it is similar to this story about the experiences of Chinese people who immigrated into the States as well therefore recalling it based on this story is a text to text connection.

Hey, Im working on an English Mythology project. I have chosen to do Aphrodite, but I am having trouble coming up with an origin
Vladimir79 [104]

There was once a goddess whose charm and gorgeous looks made all the men swoon. She was a symbol of feminine beauty. Her long flowing brown hair, big blue eyes, and slender frame set her aside from all the mortals. Though some human women were beautiful, none could ever be as pretty as she. She resembled love and sexuality.

Can Someone please check my essay, The words in red are the mistakes that the professor thinks I’ve made, i don’t see it tbh I m
vichka [17]

For the first red, you don't need an article before "relationship".

When you're saying "type of [word]", do not put any article before that word.

Example: "a type of device"

Not too sure about the "your back" parts. It could be your teacher does not like repition.

Also not too sure about "did". He probably wanted you to use the word "felt" instead of "did feel"

The first word of the last paragraph should be "in" not "at".

The red commas definitely do not need to be there.

Don't know why he marked "time to" and "to" red.
