History

The "red land" was the barren desert that protected Egypt on two sides. It acted as a natural barrier from invaders. They used the Nile's floods to their advantage. Every time the Nile flooded, it deposited silt in the soil, which made the soil great for growing crops.

Hope this helps, have a great day!

What did the presidential election of 1984 and 1988 show about the mood of the country
Natali5045456 [20]
The presidential elections of 1984 and 1988 showed that a majority of American citizens were in support of the Republican party and their policies used in this decade.

For example, the presidential election of 1984 saw Reagan run for reelection after 4 years in office. His successes during these first 4 years resulted in him winning in a landslide. Reagan won 49 states and received 525 out of the 538 electoral votes.

Even though Reagan could not run in 1988 due to term limits, his Vice President George H.W. Bush, ran as the Republican nominee. He also scored a significant victory, winning 426 of the 538 electoral votes.

These results show that a wide majority of Americans were happy with the Republican party and the direction the country was going in.
