When skys are dark with clouds and rain,

When love ones are far away again,

When there seems to be no way out,

All you want to do is scream or shout,

But then we see a small glimmer or a flicker,

Which makes us put down our different types of liqour

Hope,

Hope comes in all different shapes, sizes and colours,

So remember when the world is a little duller,

Look for the sun in the sky or the birds in the air,

and know that there is always someone who cares.

In which one of the following sentences is the number written correctly?
almond37 [142]
There are actually two correct answers in this question.
The first correct answer is A - The college has an endowment of more than $187 million.
The second correct answer is C - One hundred and thirty-two people lined up to buy the tickets.

The reasons I chose two answers is that the rules for writing large numbers are complex and not everyone agrees with the same rules. The one rule that everyone agrees with is the rule that the writer needs to be consistent in the way he spells out numbers in a sentence.
