Answer:

The author of this essay was very true to herself. As a child, she was "a slave of conventional fashion" but as she aged, she realized that fashion is not everything and that you should wear what you personally love, not what someone else personally loves. As a teen, she struggled to fit in with her clothing, and as an adult she realized that fitting in is not everything. Her essay addresses how she overcame her struggle and desire to fit in. Her realizing fashion is not everything is the instructions for life; when you realize what really is valuable in life, you will practice/pay more attention to it.

Chocolate is sweetened.
It tastes bitter.
before joining word
emmasim [6.3K]

Answer:

Before chocolate is sweetened, it tastes bitter.

Explanation:

A sentence has two parts: subject and predicate. Subject focuses on the person who is doing the action and predicate talks about the action, When we join two sentences, we use conjunctions.

Conjunctions like before, after, if, because, or , but, nor and so on. In this sentence, if we want to join and sentence and make it meaningful, we would place 'before' prior to 'chocolate'. Then we would put a comma after sweetened to punctuate it properly. This would make the sentence meaningful that before the process of sweetening the chocolate, the taste of chocolate is bitter. Thus, sentence would be:

Before chocolate is sweetened, it tastes bitter.
