Garrisons paper, the Liberator, was one of the most influential pieces of writing of the 19th century. This magazine was unique in the sense that it called for absolute and immediate end to slavery. This idea was seen as somewhat radical, as many US citizens wanted to keep slavery or gradually abolish it. Garrisons paper inspired abolitionist all over the country to speak up and demand emancipation.
