Answer: True
Explanation:
The role of afferent neurons is to send the impulses from the central nervous system (and its sensory input received) to the rest of the body.
Answer: Humans are dependent on animal and plant based products for survival.
Explanation:
a. Pizza: My meal is pizza which contains the plant and animal based foods. Plant foods include vegetables like tomato, capsicum, corn, and onion. The two animal based foods used in this will be chicken meat and swine meat. The pizza dough requires yeast to attain a desire puff, yeast here is a fungal strain. The resources required for preparation of pizza are easily available as they are replenishable renewable natural resources. These are available in farm, food market, and butcher shops easily. The plant based foods will grow with the help of seeds and animal based food will be available by breeding in farms.
b. The forest reserves are rich source of renewable natural resources like wood, plant based food, medicines, and other products. If forest reserves are not replenished then the need of these products will increase due to scarcity.
c. Plant: Clothes, furniture, medicines, food, and others.
Animal: Clothes (jute, silk), tools from animal horns, decorative item from elephant ivory
Abstract
Nature was and still is a
prolific source of inspiration in pharmacy, cosmetics, and agro-food
industries for the discovery of bioactive products. Informatics is now
present in most human activities. Research in natural products is no
exception. In silico tools may help in numerous cases when studying
natural substances: in pharmacognosy, to store and structure the large
and increasing number of data, and to facilitate or accelerate the
analysis of natural products in regards to traditional uses of natural
resources; in drug discovery, to rationally design libraries for
screening natural compound mimetics and identification of biological
activities for natural products. Here we review different aspects of in
silico approaches applied to the research and development of bioactive
substances and give examples of using nature-inspiring power and
ultimately valorize biodiversity.
Cholesterol refers to a fat-like waxy substance, which is found in all the cells of the body. The body needs some cholesterol to produce hormones, substances that assist in digesting foods, and vitamin D. The body produces all the cholesterol it requires.
Cholesterol enhances the fluidity of the membrane, which otherwise comprises majorly the long-chain saturated fatty acids.
Cholesterol minimizes the fluidity of the membrane in the regions known as rafts that comprise huge concentrations of cholesterol and sphingolipids.
