The verbs in all of the other sentences change tenses. For example, the first one goes from present(speaks) to past(listened). The third one, however, stays consistently in future tense, using words like "will" to reference what this person is going to do on the upcoming weekend.
There is never enough time to do the things he wants to do. He is trying to pick a fight with Emmy and the twins. He thinks time is a tyrant that he can't control. His father spends a lot of time at work.
