If the angles are complementary it means they add up to 90 degrees.
Therefore (2x+2) + (3x-5) = 90
2x + 3x +2 -5 = 90
5x - 3 = 90
5x = 90+3.
5x = 93. Divide both sides by 5.
x = 93/5 = 18.6
Therefore: (2x+2) = (2*18.6+2) = 37.2 + 2 = 39.2 degrees.
