Victor Hugo had a great influence in the Romantic Movement. It was a movement characterized by imagination, expression and culture. He wrote works such as, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Les Misèrabales, which are famous works of literature, and plays such as Cromwell and Hernani, which have inspired music. He also produced over 4,000 drawings in his lifetime. He also petitioned to abolish issues such as capital punishment. His influence was so great, his portrait was put onto French currencies.
