From 1405 to 1450, seven major trading trips of the Ming Dynasty led to the opening of many trade routes, connecting not only China but all of Asia with the Muslim countries of the Middle East and many African countries. These trips were under the command of the Emperor Zhu Di, and would allow the Chinese to explore new territories and thus be able to establish trade and diplomatic agreements with kings and emperors of distant lands.
