Read the excerpt from "The Scarlet Ibis."

Doodle was frightened of being left. "Don't go leave me, Brother," he cried, and he leaned toward the coffin. His hand, trembling, reached out, and when he touched the casket he screamed. A screech owl flapped out of the box into our faces, scaring us and covering us with Paris green. Doodle was paralyzed, so I put him on my shoulder and carried him down the ladder, and even when we were outside in the bright sunshine, he clung to me, crying, "Don't leave me. Don't leave me."

What do Doodle's repeated pleas of "Don't leave me" foreshadow?
Later in the story, the narrator races ahead and leaves Doodle to struggle behind during a terrible storm.

Describe one of the symbols in “The Gift of the Magi.” Explain how the author uses this symbol to convey the theme of the story.
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

The narrator suggests Jim and Della are actually wiser than the wise men because they understand love makes a gift truly worth giving.  The two recognize the sacrifice made makes their gifts so valuable, not because the gifts themselves are worth a lot of money.

how do you use Twitter? podcast by WNYC. need a response on that like what you think? whats your response? urgent please
Pachacha [2.7K]

Twitter is used for many reasons.  Twitter is used to reach as many people as possible in real time (as soon as it occurs).  Since many people no longer take the time to watch the news or read a newspaper, Twitter is the fastest way to get that information.  It, along with podcasts, are also forms of entertainment, so you get informed on the information you want to follow, are entertained by those you want to follow, and you don't have to rely on paper print or the news where you have to weed through a bunch of information you didn't want to read or see in the first place.
