The purpose of this photograph is to show a part of nature which is the glacier and transmit the most magnificent natural environments. The type of photography this photograph fits is nature photography. This photographer didn't use sense of scale in this photograph, they could have put in an animal or a tourist to show the size of the glacier and its surroundings. The subject in this photograph is the glacier, I know this because there is no other main focus in the photograph. Almost the whole photo is taken up by the glacier and only a little part shows water and the blue sky at the top.
The white balance setting enables the image sensor in your camera to adjust to changes in color temperature, thus rendering colors accurately to match any prevailing light condition. I would adjust the camera to really capture all the colors in the garden.
