Was Stalin successful in achieving the kind of state he described in this passage?

History

No he wasn’t successful in achieving the kind of state described. Instead of being oppressed economically, the people of the Soviet Union were oppressed by a ruthless dictator. Stalin’s policies effectively led to Russia’s prosperity, however, the citizens were not granted freedom of speech. Citizens were slaughtered for disagreeing with their government. It was mass oppression. A different kind then he elaborates on in the passage.

Hope this helps!

Discuss whom you believe may be the most responsible for Elvis’ untimely demise: Priscilla and/or Vernon Presley, the Memphis Ma
poizon [28]

Answer:

After reading through the material and further looking into other documents regarding Elvis’ death, I have come to the conclusion that his death was simply an accident. Although at the time it did not seem to lead in that direction, after further medical advances and research, Elvis’ healthultimately took a toll after a traumatic brain injury that went untreated. This was not due to negligence, just simply medicine was not as advance at that time to discover and treat this.

19. At times, theatergoers were a nuisance. What did they do?
Katarina [22]

In the late 19th century the habits of the theatergoers was not the best. In fact,  they were mostly a rural audience, and sometimes they were rowdy. The managers of the theaters tried to make everyone behave in a civil manner. One of the main complains was the tobacco spit all over the floor around the entertainment venues. At some point those people were required to carry a spittoon to avoid spitting in the floor.

Theatergoers were not required to sit still and be quiet like they do now. They actually ate and drank during the presentation, and sometimes interrupted the performance.  Theater owners were very concerned with these disturbances and tried to enforce good behavior.

Even though there was some occasional annoying behavior by theatergoers, for the most  part they were very polite, responsive and receptive to the performance.
