You can put the words Que, Qui, Quand, Où, Pourquoi, and Comment in front of est-ce que.
Qu’est-ce que tu fais? = What are you doing?
Qui est-ce qu’il est? = Who is he?
Quand est-ce qu’ils sont arrivés? = When did they arrive?
Où est-ce qu’on peut trouver le marché? = Where can one find the market?
Pourquoi est-ce qu’elle t’a blessé? = Why did she hurt you?
Comment est-ce que vous allez fair ça? = How are you going to do that?
