Answer: B is the correct answer for a direct object because that's what the sentence mainly about ( Which you already did it)

The next one is B again because she wanted pizza which is for direct object

I might get it wrong but these are my guesses

The English spelling system is difficult because we use many of the same words and slightly alter them and give them different meaning and we have so many different phonics, adverbs, nouns, and many more that is really confusing if you don't learn it from a young age.
