Answer: It will not.

Explanation:

The question says that it is raining at midnight. By that logic, the time is currently midnight at the time of the question.

Going by it being midnight, 48 hours from then will be midnight as well only 2 days later. There can be no sunny weather at midnight so no, it will not be sunny weather in 48 hours simply because the sun does not shine at night.

Which of these sentences does not contain parallel structure? I stay fit by walking daily, swimming weekly, and eating healthy.
tiny-mole [99]
This sentence does not contain the parallel structure.

<span>My sisters always bicker over who gets to drive the car, wear the newest dress, and having the best boyfriend.

</span>Parallel structure<span>  or parallelism is defined as the repetition of a chosen grammatical form within a sentence.
</span>
In the above sentence the phrase that should be parallel are "drive the car", "wear the newest dres", and "having the best boyfriend". The usage is inconsistent and it creates confusion.

The sentence using the correct parallel structure reads like this:

<span>My sisters always bicker over who gets to drive the car, wear the newest dress, and have the best boyfriend.
</span>
"having" is the present participle form of have. The term "have" is used to refer to a possession or belonging.

What do you think goes through Fortunato's mind after he realizes what has happened to him? Why doesn't he try to reason with Mo
Damm [24]

Answer and Explanation:

When Fortunato realizes that he is being buried alive by Montressor, what goes through his head are feelings of pain, fear, anguish, despair and agony. That's because he realizes that he will suffer slowly, until he dies in a very agonizing way. This awakens Fortunato's stress and anxiety, the fear he feels reaches exorbitant levels and for this reason he screams and cries. He does not try to argue with Montressor, because he is terrified and understands that this is a revenge for something he did, in addition to understanding that Montressor is completely crazy and is driving him crazy.

These two passages from "The Metamorphosis" work together to create which element of Freytag's pyramid
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

C) Climax.

Explanation:

In any story-line, the plot structure will consist of numerous stages which, according to Gustav Freytag, are in five stages. The first is the introduction/ exposition, followed by the rising action, climax, falling action, and finally the conclusion. Through these five stages, we can easily understand the structure of any plot.

In the given excerpt from Franz Kafka's "The Metamorphosis", the two passages create the <u>climax</u> of the whole plot. The climax is when the whole story's main structure came to its highest point, the turning point where the fate of the character(s) or the plot structure depends.

This stage presents the middle ground which will decide how the fates will change. Likewise, the given passage contains the family of Gregor deciding what to do with him. This scene contains the decision of the family <em>"to try and get rid of it"</em>, it being Gregor who has been changed to a bug. This presents a conflict in the story where the fate of Gregor was decided and thus, change his life forever.
