Why was the United States considered a World Leader at the end of the Second World War?
sashaice [31]

Answer:

By the end of World War II, the United States had established itself as the world's leading power in economic, political, and military terms. This mainly happened due to a number of factors:

-On the one hand, the war had ended the imperialist aspirations of Germany, Italy and Japan, reducing their influence and capacity to minimal, almost peripheral levels.

-In the case of the United Kingdom, France and the Soviet Union, these countries had suffered the war in their own territory and for an extended period of time, with which the material, demographic and economic damages were considerable and had diminished their power.

-in contrast, the United States had not had (except the attack on Pearl Harbor) direct consequences of the war on its territory. In addition, America entered the war 3 years after its inception, with which the political and economic wear was less.

-During its period of neutrality between 1938 and 1941, America dedicated itself to large-scale trade with the Allies, enlarging its trade surplus.

-In addition, the United States granted large amounts of loans to these countries, with which they owed not only large sums of money, but an enormous gratitude for the assistance in conflict, which would result in political power.

All these factors contributed to the imposition of the United States as the first world power at the end of the war.

How did the United States gain the territory of florida?
Sergeeva-Olga [200]
After American Independence, Spain's hold on Florida was tenuous, and numerous boundary disputes arose. After years of negotiation in 1819, John Quincy Adams (who at the time was, Secretary of States) signed Florida Purchase Treaty. The only costs were the assumptions of $5 million of claims by U.S. citizens against Spain. Florida was organized as a U.S. territory in 1822 and was admitted into the Union as a slave state in 1845.

5) Evaluate the use of indentured servants. Was it moral?
Why, or why not?
slavikrds [6]

Answer:

It was still slavery, just not permanent. Very few had any rights and many suffered horribly at their master's hands. So no more moral than regular slavery. Indentured servitude, as far as I've seen it defined, is an agreement between a laborer and a wealthy individual.
