Part a - analyzing the gene pool of a hypothetical population a hypothetical population of 200 cats has two alleles, tl and ts,

for a locus that codes for tail length. the table below describes the phenotypes of cats with each possible genotype, as well as the number of individuals in the population with each genotype. which statements about the population are true?

Heterozygotes make up 20% of the population.Homozygotes make up 80% of the population.In the entire cat population, 60% of the alleles are TS.In the entire cat population, the frequency of the TL allele is 0.4.Assuming random mating, each gamete has a 40% chance of having a TL allele and a 60% chance of having a TS allele.
The gene pool for tail length in the population is composed of alleles TL and Alleles TS .The allele frequency of TL is 0.4 (160/400). Another way to express this is that 40% of the alleles are TL .The allele frequency of Ts is 0.6 (240/400). Another way to express this is that 60% of the alleles are Ts .Therefore, each of the gamete either the sperm or the egg has a 40% chance of carrying allele TL and a 60% chance of carrying allele Ts, assuming mating is random.

The bacteria have an initial concentration of 1000 cells/cm3 . Each cell divides once every 30 minutes. Calculate how long it wi
Levart [38]

It will take 120 minutes for the concentration to become > 15000 cells/cm³

Given data:

Initial concentration ( density ) = 1000 cells / cm³

Target/final concentration = > 15,000 cells /cm³

Calculating the concentration every 30 minutes

note : Given that each cell divides every 30 minutes

 • After the first 30 minutes

Concentration = 2000 cells / cm³

 • After 60 minutes

concentration = 4000 cells / cm³

 • After 90 minutes

concentration = 8000 cells / cm³

 • After 120 minutes

concentration = 16000 cells / cm³

Therefore after 120 minutes the concentration of the cells will be greater than 15000 cells/cm³ ( i.e. 16000 cells/cm³ )

just olya [345]

Answer: Option b

Explanation:In chemistry,

before any reaction would occurs, reactat must be able to overcome some certain amount of energy which is called the activation. The activation energy is usually the heat that is suppled.it is also refered to as the minimum energy needed before any reaction can take place. For reaction to take place, there must be an equilibrium( at constant temperature and pressure.
