Napoleon began his rise to power as a _________?
zimovet [89]
Napoleon was first an artillery captain in which he saved the Republican government from loyalist rebels with a cannonade.

After that he was placed as leader, and through having remarkable victories in Europe was able to wing the support of the french people.

He did fail inside the Egypt campaign but was able to keep public support strong

After he returned, he set up a coup, which allowed him to become first consul. A few years later, he was crowned emperor of France, and started his conquest of the Americas. After he felled to hold his lands in America, he sold Louisiana to the US, gave up on the other islands, and turned towards conquest if Europe. From then on, Europe was forever changed by a 'short man who casted a long shadow in history'
