Defunding police can be beneficial. Defunding police can locate money to other areas that can benefit a community more, such as giving more money to health facilities. This can take situations away from police that are better suited for professionals in an area, such as social workers and other people who are better trained in helping the mentally ill or abusive situations.

However, in some places, defunding can be detrimental. In areas with heavy crime or smaller areas, the police might already not have enough funding and defunding could cause the force to be overrun due to decreased resources. Without enough resources, crime can increase due to people taking advantage of the situation.

In terms of abolishment of police, this would not be a good situation at all, because in the transition period between finding a new system, there would likely be many people taking advantage and committing crime with out prosecution. Also, a new system could be faulty because it is hard to tell how well it will work.

Match each plot element to its description.
viva [34]

Answer:

exposition → the point in a story when the reader  first learns about the characters and setting

rising action → the part of a story when the conflict  begins and events follow from that conflict

climax → the most intense part of a story, where  the main character faces a major crisis

falling action → the moment when the main character  has a change of heart or figures out  how to overcome the conflict at hand

resolution → the point in the story when all loose  ends are tied up and the story ends

Explanation:

In literature, we can define the exposition as the part of the story where the narrator introduces the characters, the setting, and the theme to readers. This where the author sets the stage for the story to happen.

Rising action happens after the exposition, when the environment for conflicts to arise has been established. Rising action consists of a series of events, smaller conflicts, that will eventually lead to a major conflict.

Climax is the major conflict mentioned above, the point where tension is at its highest. This is where readers ask themselves what the main character will do to solve the problem or to deal with the situation.

Falling action takes place after the climax, when the conflict is being solved or has already been solved. Tension decreases, and readers can already see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Finally, resolution is the ending of the story, when the narrator ties all loose ends.

PLEASE HELP!! BEST ANSWER GETS BRAINLIEST!!!
Vikentia [17]

Answer: in the first passage the author means lonely as the regular definition which is being alone. He talks about the flowers and things because he is having alone time admiring them. He also talks about how he usually go on this walk to admire plants. Also, he talks about how he is so alone that nature is pretty much his friend.

The second passage refers to being lonely as in the greatness in enjoying your imagination when your friends are not around. For example, boredom can be used as the way this passage describes being lonely. In the first stanza, the poet says that he was wandering lonely as a Cloud that floats on high o'er vales and Hills. The phrase refers to him being roaming around without any purpose. He was all alone like a cloud that floats high in the valley.
