Keep in mind that an adverb usually comes after the verb it modifies. Here the verb that the adverb modifies is aparecer (whose conjugation is aparecieron)

(5) inmediatamente

This is an adverb that translates into immediately and means here that the parents took their child to their house at once or instantly. This is also an adverb of manner and modifies the verb llevar whose conjugation in this sentence is llevaron matching the third person plural in the the preterite tense.

(6) afortunadamente
