All passenger immigrants who arrived by boat were processed at the Ellis Island in the 1880s. People were processed through their papers and their general health who were directly verified by American Doctors who were on duty at that time. As the 1800s came to a closed there were approximately 1.25 million immigrants that were processed at Ellis Island and the numbers kept adding up until the 1920s.
The New Deal was a series of programs and projects instituted during the Great Depression by President Franklin D. Roosevelt that aimed to restore prosperity to Americans. When Roosevelt took office in 1933, he acted gooded to stabilize the economy and provide jobs and relief to those who were suffering.
