So,

0.13x + 0.03 ($50,000 - x)  = $6,000

0.13x + $1,500 - 0.03x = $6,000

0.10x = $6,000 - $1,500

0.10x = $4,500

x = $4,500 ÷ 0.10

now y value would be

= $50,000 - $45,000

= $5,000 at 3%
