What undermines Gertrude’s confidence is the fact that she
is dependent on Claudius. If she was a
confident woman then she would find out for herself whether or not the rumor
was true that the King was murdered.
Hamlet also called her fickle when he said “Frailty is thy name woman.” Even when Hamlet tells her enough to know
that there is something wrong Gertrude would still stand by her new husband and
that is what undermines her confidence.
I think gorgeous is better yeah
The flaw that Ulysses reveals while leaving the island after blinding the Cyclops is a desire for glory.
Before defeating the monster, Ulysses was a humble man, who just wanted to be with his family. However, that changed once he blinded the Cyclops, after which he wanted everyone to know who he is, which angered the gods, especially Poseidon.
I think that it’s because the man had no reason to kill him other then his eye so he never acted on it because he was nervous but one night he just saw the opportunity and took it. So in short my answer is : He had no reason to other then the old man’s eye and he was nervous
