Answer:

Personally (this opinion could differ for yourself), I am against the electoral college and I am for direct democracy vote.

Explanation:

Having a pure democracy would ensure actual and tangible democracy for which this country claims it holds.

This would prevent gerry-mandering which is used against people of color´s cote often times to take away their vote.

Having an direct democracy would ensure americans to vote for who they actually like, not who they seem who would win and thus make 3rd parties alittle more viable.

This kind of situation arises when the President is from a different party and the Congress is made up of opposition members. In the 2nd paragraph of the Declaration of Independence.

“We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed with certain unalienable rights, that amount these are life, LIBERTY, and the pursuit of happiness.”

Thomas Jefferson, who wrote the declaration, greatly admired John Locke.

Locke’s list of natural rights (in which no one can take away) includes the right to property which in his definition, includes Liberty(freedom).
