The interaction between Pip and Jagger happen at the house of Miss Havisham's house. Mr. Jagger first appears who passes Pip on the stairs at Miss Havisham's house. He never tells anyone and gives Pip no clues about where the money has come from. When Pip was just a boy, Jagger rescue a convict. That convict gave huge amount of money to Mr. Jaggers to become Pip's guardian and lead him into the upper class lifestyle.
The narrator insists on telling the reader he is not mad, even though he kills an old man for having a cataract. As the police talk to him, the narrator's manner becomes more and more unhinged and furious.
