The events of the story would have been very different if it were written from the point of view of John or his sister Jane. Another character wouldn’t have been able to describe to the reader the importance of the wallpaper, and its significance would have been lost. The idea of the woman being kept in the room may have influenced the reader to perceive her differently. Without her perspective, she would have been perceived as just a troubled woman. In Gilman’s version, you sympathize with her because you are getting a firsthand account of how she feels in the room. Without her firsthand description of the room and her thoughts, it would be an entirely different story altogether.

Changing the point of view will cause completely different narrative of a story. You will never know the character's own thoughts, motifs of doing something and his/her perception of everything will not be that clear as it can be depicted in first point of view, when character tell you his story personally. If it was narrated in first person from other character you would never found out what is really true in the story.

Who is in a coma like state on stage on stage for most of act 1
mamaluj [8]

Answer:

A). Betty.

Explanation:

'The Crucible' authored by Arthur Miller displays the 'Salem witch trials' during the late seventeenth century.

As per the question, 'Betty' is the one who becomes unconscious at the end of the act I when she joins the girls dancing in the forest along with Tituba that leads her almost to a 'coma like state'. She actually gets trapped into an unusual torpor that is responsible for her unconscious state and hysteria that she suffers which substantiates the presence of witchcraft in the town. Thus, option A is the correct answer.
