The danger of Fear was seen:

In all of Santiago’s journey as it was said to be the main obstacle to Santiago’s success in getting his Personal Legend. Santiago was said to have experiences a lot of forms of fear such as a childhood fear where he was afraid of having the gypsy woman interpret the dream that he had as well as others

Fear is also seen when he had a material fear that made him to be scared of losing his wealth by leaving to Tangier or by aligning with the desert caravan.

He also had physical fear especially about dying in the battle at Al-Fayoum.

Lastly, he had spiritual fear as he see that he will fail to turn himself into the wind when the alchemist was said to have forces him to make an attempt.
