So as it’s written, y=2x-1

For a line to be parallel, it has to have the same slope.

You would change the variables to the coordinates which is -2=2*-2+b

Your y-intercept (the b) is what changes

-2=2*-2+b
-2=-4+b
2=b

The answer is y=2x+2
