IN ENGLISH

About three days ago me and my three friends José, Miguel, and Jesus went for a car ride to the park. It was so fun we traveled by car specifically a Honda Civic it was a new car and it was nice inside. when we got there we got out and walked over to the field and ran in the grass and played tag. In all time it took about 10 minutes to get here and we stayed for about 1 hour so we took about 1 hour and 30 minutes in total out of the day to socialize. This was the best day we've had all summer.

Write about 120 words about the most memorable day in your student life at higher secondary school.
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

The most memorable day of my life was, September 4, 2001 in Albany Ga. It was 6:00 a.m. when my alarm clock woke me up. The first day of high school was finally here. I was excited, but a lot more nervous. I got out of bed, got ready, and then was on my way to the bus stop. All I could think of is the stories I heard about high school being so horrible with all the mean teachers, the hard tests, and of course being a freshman does not help either. The bus ride to the school was only 30 minutes, but it seemed a lot longer. When we finally got there, I was more nervous than ever. The day ahead of me was about to get a lot more…show more content…

Their names were Susan and Alicia. I called them over and I talked with Susan and Alicia. That is when I introduced myself, then they did the same and we began to know more about each other, Susan and Alicia asked me where I was from and I said, “I am from Puerto Rico.” Then I asked Susan and Alicia where they were from and Susan said, “She was from New York” and Alicia said, “She was from Indiana”. After that, we spent the rest of the day together until the class was over. I will always remember that day because I had a chance to meet new friends. In addition, I met the most important friends that I have ever had

Which word best completes this conversation? Carla: ¿Te gusta la ropa tradicional? Daniela: Sí, me gusta mucho y es ______ cómod
natita [175]

Right answer:

C. tan

We often use adjectives to compare things, people, events, ideas, among others. This is used to compare nouns in three ways, comparisons of equality, comparisons of inequality, and in superlatives. Here we use the comparison of equality just as tan ... como that conveys the idea of as … as. This is used when referring that two nouns are equal to one another. So here we use it with this formula:

tan + adjective/adverb + como, which is called tan comparisons and is used to compare two nouns using an adjective or adverb. The adjective in this sentence is comfortable (cómoda) and the two nouns are la ropa tradicional (the traditional clothes) and la ropa moderna (modern clothes). Therefore:

Carla: ¿Te gusta la ropa tradicional?

Daniela: Sí, me gusta mucho y es tan cómoda como la ropa
