Explain the role of insulin in the homeostatic regulation of blood glucose levels
Xelga [282]

Answer:

Insulin helps the cells absorb glucose, reducing blood sugar and providing the cells with glucose for energy. When blood sugar levels are too low, the pancreas releases glucagon. Glucagon instructs the liver to release stored glucose, which causes blood sugar to rise.

Hope this helps!

PLS ANSWER FASTTT What is the difference between Love waves and Rayleigh waves?
MAXImum [283]

Hey There!

_____________________________________

Answer:

\huge\boxed{\text{Option D}}

_____________________________________

\huge\textbf{Releigh Waves}

A Rayleigh wave is a seismic surface wave causing the ground to shake in an elliptical motion(they move in a surafce rolling manner). A seismic wave means a earthquake wave, so Rayleigh wave is realted to the motion of earth and its crust. Rayleigh waves are formed when the particle vibrate with the combination of both transverse and longitudinal waves. This vibration gives rise to a wave which moves elliptically backwards that is Rayleigh Wave. Rayleigh waves are really fast they move with the spped 10 times faster than the speed of light. Rayleigh waves are generated by the interaction of P or compressional and S or shear waves(P ans S Waves are inside the Earths Crust) at the surface of the earth.

_____________________________________

\huge\textbf{Love Waves}

Love waves or Q waves or Quer Waves are surface seismic waves that cause horizontal shifting of the Earth during an earthquake. A Love wave is a surface wave having a horizontal motion only. Love waves are formed when the earth particles move in a transverse wave manner creating a wave travelling perpendicular to the direction the wave.
