The sentence which is neutral is 2. Netta and Jim expressed different views on free trade. This is correct because the words "expressed different views" are quite neutral - there is nothing too positive or too negative about them. On the other hand. words such as wrangled in 1, argued vociferously in 3, and bickered in 4, show very strong emotions that are in no way neutral.

Why do you think laws and rights
should be written with a formal
tone?
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

The formal tone first shows that these must be taken in a serious note, you wouldn't want a law to be written like "Guns are bad cuz they harm people, so no more guns."

Also when writing in formal tone you are more likely to elaborate and close the gap of free interruption.

The monkey paws.. which best describe Mrs.whites character change in the story
Komok [63]

Mrs. White is a strong woman, and the narrator even says she's smarter than her husband. We get the sense that she makes lots of decisions for the family and that her husband is happy with this reversal of traditional gender roles.

As mentioned in Mr. White's section, she might go a bit too far sometimes, to the point of forcing Mr. White to do things he thinks are wrong, like wishing Herbert back to life. Some readers see her as mean and dominating.
