"Common Sense" was the pamphlet written by Thomas Paine, where he positioned himself in favor of American independence, through a complete separation from the British domain, where America ceased to be a colony and became an independent country. Paine showed, through precise arguments, how America was a much richer and more powerful territory than Great Britain and how America could be much bigger, if it separated itself from the British dominance, because, as an independent country, America would be able to create its own laws, address its own interests and only get involved in issues that are positive for the American people. These arguments allowed the American population to approve of Paine's thinking and to desire separation in the place of reconciliation with Great Britain.
