Dred Scott and his alave holder went up North into a free state. He then said in that territory he was free and no longer a slave. When he brought that to court he had lost his case therefore Proving that he was the slave holders property.

The cold war was a fight between the U.S and the soviet union proving eachothers nuclear power trying to threaten eachother. Both nations were stockpiling weapons, and spending billions to show their technological advancement in nuclear weapons.
