Answer: Global water supply is currently a troubling issue. The world's population size is steadily increasing, without the increase in water supply, leaving many to fear an impending shortage.

Freshwater is not evenly distributed across the globe and desalination of water is one solution put forth, but it also comes with its own challenges such as: being very expensive, requiring large amounts of energy, harsh impact on marine life, water being a commodity controlled by large corporations, and emissions having a harsh effect on environments.

Did some research hope this helps!

The lake effect occurs when ____ air mass moves over a ____ body of water.
AURORKA [14]

Answer:

-dry

-large

Explanation:

The lake effect occurs when dry air mass moves over a large body of water. When there's a dry air mass, be it warm or cold, and it moves over some large lake, thus large body of water, it changes its properties. The dry air mass picks up a lot of moisture while passing above the large body of water. As it does that, the air mass becomes wet. As it continues to move, this air mass will eventually come upon a natural barrier which will make it accumulate and go up, at certain area, the water vapor to condensate, and lot of precipitation to occur. Because this process will be happening constantly, the area will be receiving solid amount of precipitation, though the side of the water body from which the dry air mass is coming will be relatively dry.

How could I measure the hours of light in a day? And how can I make a plan?
lapo4ka [179]
Maybe there's an app for that? Some kind of time lapse app? Or maybe set up a magnifying glass or a crystal ball on a stand and a piece of paper under it. As the sun passes, it will might burn a line on the page. As to how you would read this line, you would need some kind of measurement system - maybe do a baseline the day before and use you watch to record start and finish times.
