Answer:

Explanation:

In the recent years although women’s status and role has been uplifted beyond being a housewife, the priority is still given to men in politics, education, employment, and related walks of life. The constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan dictates equal rights for men and women. However, men are more equal than women in reality. The reality shows women in lower status than men in every sphere of life whether it’s education, food, health care or freedom of choice of partner. Ese days climate change is a global issue impacting the lives of millions of people forcing them to migrate to other areas indicating that the phenomenon is real and is bound to affect the rest of those unaffected by it today.

According to the Global Climate Risk Index 2014, climate change’s most apparent impacts can be seen in developing or least developed countries.

Pakistan, which enjoys four seasons&mild temperatures is blessed with 1,000km of coastline providing livelihood opportu- nities to millions of people adjoining these areas but climate change has threatened their lives due to frequent and intensive monsoons and lack of coastal resilience to cyclones (Phet 2011).

According to German Watch Institute, Pakistan was not included in the Long-Term Climate Risk Index (1993-2012) which clearly shows that it wasn’t a disaster hit country but the Climate Risk Index (CRI) for 2012 ranked Pakistan at number 3 as the most affected country by climate change revealing that inappropriate decision making of the government.

Ineffective planning and over-exploitation of natural resources causing billions of dollars in damage and driving the economically unstable country further into poverty.

It has been observed that countries most affected by climate change contribute very little amounts to CO2 emissions and the major contributors are developed countries which during the industrialization period released vast amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere thus affecting the course of nature.

This affected Pakistan as well, however it contributes very little to global green house gasses emissions, as on a per capita basis it ranks 135 in the world

Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

Use materials more resistant to chemical weathering.

Explanation:

In the context of a warm and humid city, it is important to use building materials that are not extremely susceptible to chemical weathering. Buildings made of brick and/or iron and steel will survive much longer in the elements in a tropical condition than will a building made of wood or calcite. The latter is especially vulnerable to even the slightest amount of acidity in the rain and is easily dissolved.

Answer: The elements of a folktale in the excerpt include:

The story is being narrated in third person.

The story is set in the past (at a time when people kept slaves).

The scene is simply described. That is scenes are not described in explicit detail.

If John is the hero of this story, then another element of folklore involved would be - The hero is usually courageous. We can assume this because there were dire consequences for slaves eavesdropping or generally annoying their masters such as beatings, starvation, even torture. For John to take the risk shows bravery.

Explanation:

"Folk" is an old english word for "people". And tale means a fictitious story or true story narrated with lots of imaginative descriptions. Folktale are basically imaginative stories told by people to entertain, convey a moral lesson, pass down traditions etcetera. Most children's stories are folktales.

Folktale elements are the characteristics that make up a typical folktale.

Some of these elements include;

• The hero/heroine is usually good and the antagonist is usually evil.

• The hero and heroine are usually young.

• The heroine is usually fair, kind, charitable, and caring.

• The hero is usually honorable, courageous, unselfish, and caring.

• Place is described easily and briefly that fits the typical geography of the culture.

• Time is usually in the past (usually long-ago) imbedded within history.

Time is fantasy time (Once upon a time sets the stage and They lived happily ever after closes the tale.) any time or any place, timeless or placeless, or long long ago.

The story is usually verry simple to follow or read.

Conflicts are usually resolved with great deeds or acts of human kindness related to good and bad/evil.

The story is usually narrated in third person.
