"One Last Time" is a memoir of Gary Soto, in which Soto shares his experience as an immigrant in America and his experience at the farm.

In lines 75-85, the attitude of Gary Soto towards his work at the farm is awful and bored. Soto feels bored at the farm. He asserts that he had to daydream to cope with boredom and compares boredom to the awfulness of his work.

When Gary first arrived at the farm, he was excited and enthusiastic to work. But as he began doing farming, he dreads going back to the work. He asserts that he <em>"dreaded the return to work."</em>
