Why cant Martha Cratchit hide from her father for very long
Anastasy [175]
Martha Cratchit can't hide from her father for very long for she cannot afford to witness the upset expression of her father knowing she is not around. So she pops out of somewhere to surprised her father which actually caught off card. It was Christmas and everyone must be complete and in festive mood especially for Christians because it is the season to be happy and jolly. It is also the time to give and forgive and be nice to everyone regardless of how they treat us.

Can you explain how to solve this please
olasank [31]
If the question is 2x > 18, then all you have to do is divide. And when you divide 18/2, x is equal to 9. I'm not sure if that is one of the choices, but I believe that's how you do it...

Semantics of “on” versus “in”
Law Incorporation [45]
When talking about locations: "on" means being located on top of a certain surface, and "in" inside another object: Compare on the box and in the box. This is the major difference in their meaning.

They are also used to denote a number of other relationships, such as "in December", "on Friday" but I would say that their usage there is more metaphical and idiomatic: and the major semantic difference is between "inside" and "on top of".
