A financial analyst constructs a statistical model to represent the market shares of several similar companies. She then collect

s data over the
next month to evaluate her model. At the end of the month, she finds that for one of the companies, the difference between her model and the
data is 5%.
She decides to collect data for an additional two months. If her model is valid, what could she expect from the total data collected after three
months?
ОА. .
The difference between the data and the model will get smaller.
OB.
The difference between the data and the model will stay the same.
OC.
It is impossible to predict how the difference between the data and the model will change.
OD.
The difference between the data and the model will get larger

Answer:

It is <u><em>not </em></u>stay the same or get larger

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm sorry all i can do is eliminate options. I took the test twice and got it wrong both times. my next guess is that its impossible to tell but its a 50/'50 chance. I hope eliminating at least helps :(

out of of are 40 students, 15 are on the student council. what percent of the students are NOT on the student council?
saw5 [17]

40-15=25 students not on student council

25/40 = .625 decimal

multiply by 100 to get percent

62.5% of students are not on student council

Estimating:

15 rounds to 20 and 40 rounds to 50

40% are in student council and that leaves roughly 60% not in student council.

Explain how you would graph the line containing a slope of-1/5 that goes through the point (1,-4)
madam [21]

Answer:

y= -1/5x + 1/5

Step-by-step explanation:

y- y1 = m(x - x1)

Slope m=-1/5

(1, -4)

1 = y1

-4 = x1

y- 1 = -1/5(x-(-4))

y-1 = -1/5(x+4)

y-1= -1/5(x)+ -1/5(4)

y-1 = -1/5x + -4/5

add one to both sides

y= -1/5x + -4/5 + 1

y = -1/5x + 1/5

Question 3 (Essay Worth 10 points)
lakkis [162]
PART A

To form the equation to represent total rent, we first need to establish the changing rate and the fixed cost. Changing rate is the fee for every one day the car is rented and fixed cost is the initial cost of the car rental.

To find the changing rate we divide the cost difference between two days by the difference of days

We have
$180 = 4 days
$ 325 = 9 days

The changing rate is \frac{325-180}{9-4}= \frac{145}{5}=29

The table below shows the working out of the price for each day the car is rented. We work out that day 0 cost $63 which means this is the fixed cost

Hence, the equation of total cost is y=29x+63, where y is the total cost and x is the number of days

PART B:

Using the function notation means we will use f(x) instead of y, so the equation is

f(x)=29x+63

PART C:

To graph the function, we first need to set the scales on the x-axes and y-axes.

The scale on x-axes could go up in ones but must start from 0

The scale on y-axes, since it is much bigger values, we can go up in 50

We then plot on the graph for each pair of days and cost. The plots should give us a straight line graph

One example of the graph is shown below
