We were taken to a boat that would sail us across the harbor to the city and a brand new life. As I boarded I smiled up at Lady Liberty who stood tall with her spoon in hand, ready to stir us in. How can the leadership skills be applied to life outside of school? Give 3 specific examples with details of the situation and h
gayaneshka [121]
Leadership can be used in every day life. It is important to have a passion and or mission like playing guitar or ballet. Leadership starts at those fundamentals otherwise there would not be so many great leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. he had a passion for equality for all people. He ended up become one of the worlds most influential leaders.

You have a voice and don’t be afraid to use it. If you think something is not right or if you disagree speak up. It’s okay to voice your opinion. Just like Rosa Parks when she was discriminated against but she still spoke up and did not let those people silence her.

A good leader should be able to also listen to the other persons opinion without yelling or getting angry. Sometimes it’s better to observe and listen. Dalai Lama is a good example of this he even said to listen more to learn and understand what you don’t know.

What elements of the Restoration comedy are seen in The Importance of Being Earnest? Please explain in 3-5 sentences. Thanks!
mojhsa [17]
Restoration Comedy was the result of a revival of the theatre 1660, aftering being banned during the Puritan days of England.

The genre was quite raunchy for the time, and mocked many elements of contemporary British society, like Wilde's play did. It also did not attempt to impose a morality on its works, preferring rather to create art for the sake of art, like The Importance of Being Earnest.

Atticus’ statement “ Jem’s definitions are very nearly accurate sometimes” (28) is meant to create what tone?
aksik [14]

Answer:

The statement on the part of Atticus that "Jem's definitions are very nearly accurate sometimes" is meant to set a playful tone because earlier Jem had said that entailment meant getting your tail stuck in a crack.

Explanation:

The word entailment is significant in this part of the story because it means that Mr. Cunningham could not just sell his property to get cash and pay his debts. He might have a farm, but he does not have to right to sell it a large part of it and dispose of the money as he wishes.  Therefore Walter and his father are poor, and kind of "stuck in a crack" when it comes to affording to take a lunch to school like Miss Caroline expects.
