The monthly cost of driving a car depends on the number of miles driven. Lynn found that in May her driving cost was $380 for 48
dlinn [17]

Answer:

a) see attachment

b) Cost f(distance) = 0.25d + 260

c) $0.25

Step-by-step explanation:

b) The linear relationship between two variables is as follows:

C f(d) = m*d + k .... Eq 1

Where, m and k are constants to be evaluated

Find m: we will find slope of the line between two points (480,$380) & (800,$460)

Slope of line (m) = \frac{460-380}{800-480} = $0.25 / mile

Find k: consider one of the two points and input in Eq 1 using (480,$380)

k = 380 - 0.25(480) = $260

The equation of line is C f(d) = 0.25*d +260.

We can use this equation for plotting the graph for part a

c) Rate of cost / mile is given by the slope of the graph if scruutinized on the units; hence, $0.25

A town has a population of 2000 and grows at 4% every year what will be the population after 15 years to the nearest whole numbe
fomenos

To begin lets say year one the population is 2,000

assume this in percent we can say that 2,000=100%

at the end of this year the population will have grown by 4% meaning that

100%+4% will be the new population =104%

but we know that 100%=2,000 so what about 104%=X?

so (104*2000)/100=2,080

So year 1 the population will have grown by 80 people amounting to 2080 people.

Now do it manually year by year until we reach the 15th year. i will help you up to year 3

2nd year= (2080*104)/100=2163.2

3rd year= (2163*104)/100=2249.728

Idk if someone wants to help to solve this but- it’s worth a try I think it’s 15 points or so and I’ll mark brainliest to first
Anastaziya [24]

Answer:

Part 3: 9 Dogs

Step-by-step explanation:

It says that the ratio they want you to put it in is dogs/students, so dogs are x, and students are y, so if there are 4 students for every dog, 36 students would require 9 dogs

And if the roles were switched it would be students x, dogs y, and there would be 9 students for 36 dogs :D

Two quadrilaterals are similar. The length of the row longest sides of the first quadrilateral are 40in and 60in. The lengths of
Andreyy89

Answer:

The sides of the first quadrilateral are 60 in, 40 in, 30 in and 12,5 in

The sides of the second quadrilateral are 24 in, 16 in, 12 in and 5 in

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

If two figures are similar, then the ratio of its corresponding sides is proportional, and this ratio is called the scale factor

Arrange the sides of each quadrilateral from largest to smallest

<u><em>First quadrilateral </em></u>            <u><em>Second quadrilateral</em></u>

Longest side=60 in          Longest side=c in

Second side=40 in           Second side=16 in

Third  side= a in                Third  side= 12 in

Fourth side=b in                Fourth side=5 in

so

\frac{60}{c}=\frac{40}{16}=\frac{a}{12}=\frac{b}{5}

<em>Find the value of c</em>

\frac{60}{c}=\frac{40}{16}

c=60(16)/40

c=24\ in

<em>Find the value of a</em>

\frac{40}{16}=\frac{a}{12}

a=40(12)/16

a=30\ in

<em>Find the value of b</em>

\frac{40}{16}=\frac{b}{5}

b=40(5)/16

b=12.5\ in
