Answer:

The Shanghai massacre of April 12, 1927, known commonly in China as the April 12 Purge or April 12 Incident, was the violent suppression of Communist Party of China (CPC) organizations in Shanghai by the military forces of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek and conservative factions in the Kuomintang (Nationalist Party, or in Guangzhou and Changsha.[1] The purge led to an open split between left and right wing factions in the KMT, with Chiang Kai-shek establishing himself as the leader of the right wing faction based in Nanjing, in opposition to the original left-wing KMT government based in Wuhan led by Wang Jingwei.

Describe two ways in which plebeians gained more political power after the revolts of 494<br> b.c.e.
Sedaia [141]
1. Special tribunes would represent the plebeians.
2. The Plebeian Council could pass laws that applied to plebeians.

"Tribunis Plebis" was the Latin term for "Tribune of the people" (the plebs).
"Concilium Plebis" was the Latin name for the Plebeian Council or assembly.

There had been assemblies of the plebeians before 494,  but after that date the assembly's actions, under the authority of the tribune of the people, carried more official authority.  The creation of the office of tribune, to represent the people and offset the power of the consul, occurred after major conflict between the plebeians and the ruling class (the patricians) in 495-494.
