St. Ignatius of Loyola
The Catholic Reformation, also
called Counter-Reformation and Catholic Revival refocused on coming back to
spiritual foundations, devotional life
and personal relationship with Jesus.
The Jesuits was one of the few
who led the Reformation. The Jesuits was founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola. Their work was key in the opposition
against Martin Luther and John Calvin (Protestant).
The Bill of Rights consists of 10 amendments that explicitly guarantee certain rights and protections to US citizens by limiting the power of the federal government. The First Amendment prevents the government from interfering with the freedoms of speech, peaceable assembly, and exercise of religion.
In conclusion it limits the power of the federal government.

Hiram Johnson managed to get the California Proposition 4 passed which was a constitution amendment to the constitution of California which gave Women the power to vote. This was in 1911, years before the 19th amendment was passed on a national level and before women from all around the United States of America got general suffrage rights.
