Here are two reasons why the driving age should NOT be raised

Say the age was raised to 18, by this age point the driver would be way too dependant on their guardian because they went so long without being able to have the independence of getting out on their own.

If drivers can get their license at 16, they will have had much for practice than if they get it at 18. If the driver is given the opportunity at 18 they will most likely be moving out and being on their own as young adults, but if they have only had so little time to practice and be prepared they might end up being held back due to lack of practice.
