Which approach best defines how writers of historical fiction try to appeal to readers?
den301095 [7]
Ethos, pathos, and logos. Ethos is appealing to the reader by the author establishing his credability. Pathos is appealing to the reader by the author "pulling at the readers heart strings." This means he is illiciting emotions in the reader. Logos is appealing to the reader by the author establishing logic in his argument. These stratagies are used by all authors, not just historical fiction writers.

Alik [6]

Answer:

D. social referencing.

Explanation:

Social referencing is one of the most important mechanisms that help a child understand the world around them. Social referencing takes place when an infant observes the facial expressions and affective displays of adults to measure and regulate their own behavior towards situations, people, and objects. In the context provided, Jaden did not know if the clown represented something bad or dangerous, or if it represented something harmless. She only knows the clown is not only safe but supposedly funny after noticing her mother's facial expression and reaction to the clown. Jaden has used social referencing.

Dafna11 [192]

Monsters are correlated with negativity, the evil inside of a person. The hero usually represents the will to fight back and keep that evil from hurting anyone. It's mostly opinion but that's just what I think I hope it gives you some ideas!
