Answer:

Federal relations with Indian tribes were centered on trading, wars, and treaty making. In an 1831 decision, the Supreme Court described tribes as "domestic dependent nations" that had broad latitude to create their own laws within tribal areas. In an 1832 decision, the Court ruled that only the federal government could regulate Indian affairs, not state governments. The federal government signed more than 400 Indian treaties during this period, with tribes usually receiving various payments and benefits in return for ceding land. State governments, settlers, and businesses pressured the federal government to seize Indian lands for their own use, and more than 100,000 Indians from the Southeast were pushed off of their lands and moved to reservations west of the Mississippi River.

As you already know, Odysseus spent 10 years to be able to return home and to his family. This time generated a certain suffering for the hero, since he did not like having left his home and missed his wife and son very much.

In these 10 years, Odysseus spent 7 years being a prisoner of Calypso, a nymph who fell in love with him and imprisoned him. Odysseus was not to blame for Calypso's passion and reason for his imprisonment. The nymph kept him trapped in an attempt to seduce him, until Zeus ordered her to release him.

When he left the island of Calypso, however, Odysseus' actions were inconsequential and showed a certain irresponsibility. These actions provoked the wrath of Posseidon, which caused Odysseus to sink and further delay his return home. In this case, Odysseus was at fault and deserved to be punished for his actions.

Another event that brought sadness to Odysseus and of which he is to blame, was the death of several of his companions due to Odysseus' curiosity about the Cyclops.

The writings of john l. o'sullivan showed the power of ____________ to shape public policy.
LUCKY_DIMON [66]
The press -- mass media

John O'Sullivan coined the phrase "Manifest Destiny" to describe what he saw as the God-appointed duty of the United States to expand across the North American continent and to lead the world by the example of its values. O'Sullivan was editor of the Democratic Review and of the New York Morning News when editorials in both publications (in July 1845) put forth arguments for annexing Texas and the Oregon Territory. US public policy in the years that followed did essentially pursue the sort of territorial goals O'Sullivan had described, even if not always with his same spiritual ideology in mind.
