mechanical weathering is the disintegration/breakdown of rocks and this mainly caused the agents of mechanical weathering which are ; water , wind and ice, and this agents of mechanical weathering achieve this due the factors Temperature and pressure.
Temperature : The continuous heating and cooling of rock surfaces cause s wear and tear on the rocks leading to mechanical weathering
pressure : Ice water found in cracks of rocks exert pressure on the rocks and this also causes the rocks to disintegrate overtime
